About Us
Who are the Leominster Cultural Consortium?
Leominster Roars is the Leominster Cultural Consortium – a voluntary town-wide partnership formed in 2020 to champion arts, culture and heritage in Leominster.
The Consortium originally came together to deliver a three-year cultural programme as part of the High Streets Heritage Action Zone scheme, led by Historic England with support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council England. From this work, the name Leominster Roars was established and continues as the group’s public identity.
Building on that momentum, in 2024 Leominster Roars began delivering a new three-year Creative Health programme, Our Place Leominster. This ambitious project aims to improve wellbeing by increasing access to arts and culture and encouraging more people to take part in creative activity.
Our Place Leominster sits within a wider Herefordshire programme, alongside Rural Media (South Wye) and Meadow Arts (Golden Valley), and is overseen by Herefordshire Cultural Partnership.
Supported by Leominster Town Council, Leominster Roars brings together local artists, makers, performers, event organisers, community groups and residents who care about creativity in the town.
We are committed to supporting the people, places and spaces of Leominster — celebrating its past while helping shape its future — and creating opportunities for local voices to be heard, shared and amplified.
