About Us

Who are the Leominster Cultural Consortium?

Leominster Cultural Consortium is a voluntary group formed in 2020 to deliver a cultural programme of events celebrating the culture and heritage of our town.

The three-year Leominster ROARS project was part of the High Streets Heritage Action Zone scheme run by Historic England with support from the National Lottery Fund and Arts Council England.

In 2024 the Consortium embarked on a new ambitious three-year project that aims to improve the health and welfare of people from Leominster by improving access to and encourage participation in art and culture.

This project is called ‘Our Place’ and is being developed in line with two other Herefordshire organisations, The Rural Media Company and Meadow Arts and overseen by Herefordshire Cultural Partnership.

Supported by Leominster Town Council, the Consortium is made up of representatives from the local community who are actively engaged in delivering arts and culture in the town, including local artists, creators, crafters, performers, event organisers and community groups.

The Consortium is committed to supporting the people, places and spaces of Leominster’s past and present to unite their voices in a mighty roar. We want to create a thriving programme to stir up local creativity, pride, passion and community spirit for the future
